That’s how long it’s been since my last post.
Yikes! I thought I had a new direction which included regular postings to this blog.
Turns out I did have a new direction as the “Commander of Analytics & Internet Strategy” with a marketing firm here in Durham (The Republik but I’ll tell you more about that another time). The work has been amazing, rewarding and needless to say, quite time consuming.
Hence the lack of posts.
Now, I’m not going to make any promises here and tell you that is all going to change because I can’t ensure it will. I’d darned sure like to fill this little vault full with helpful knowledge, and I just may do that… I just can’t say how quickly it will happen.
While we’re on the subject of promises, I did send out an email last night promising to lmake my newest software application available to my subscribers only (early bird first crack) tonight. Unfortunately, my timing on having the Master Resell materials finished that go with it has taken a lesson from my blog posting.
It is going to be another day or two before I can make it available to you.

One of the many skills I have had to acquire over the last 5 years of working in the Marketing world is how to write copy.
Now, I’m not talking the sort of copy one finds in magazine ads, brochures, or on information websites. I had to learn how to write sales letters.
You know the ones, those long, long 20 to 30 page pieces designed with one purpose… to grab the reader, hook them and then draw them along through the story of my product or service. Like any writing, there is a real art to producing these pieces that can take time to develop.

What your see covers no mechanics but rather gets into the root emotion that powers every person to sign up for a list or purchase a product. It is different for everyone and every product. Understanding how to cut away all of the surrounding BS and zero in on the true motivating element will put your marketing message miles ahead of most any competitor.
